65 years of marital bliss

BRANSON MO NEWS: Drs. Don and Nan Worch celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 27 with a family get-together at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake.The pair was united in marriage Aug. 26, 1951 in Indianapolis.
Dr. Don Worch served as pastor in Butler, Indiana, Sparta, Michigan, and Gary. He left the pastorate to become president of Baptist Children’s Home whose international office is in Valparaiso. He retired in 1995.Dr. Nan Worch spent 39 years as a teacher and administrator in the Gary Community School Corp. She retired in 2005.
The couple are the parents of two daughters, Deborah (Ron) Byster, of Chicago, deceased, and Dawn (Michael) Cieply, of Valparaiso. They have six grandchildren, David Cieply, of Paris, Texas, Rachel (Tyrell) Peters, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Elizabeth (Ethan) Dunn, of Branson, Missouri, Rebecca Cieply, a student at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, Daniel Cieply, a student at Purdue University in Valparaiso, and Abigail Cieply, of Valparaiso.The Worches enjoy keeping up with their family, their church, traveling and reading
