BRANSON MO NEWS: OFFENSE

QB-Dawson Deroo, Forsyth: Started the season at receiver, then took over at quarterback and passed for 1,695 yards and 14 TDs in just six games. Had 174 yards and a TD in debut against Lockwood, and had two 300-yard games, including 451 yards and four TDs against Lighthouse Christian.

RB-Kelly Newton, Reeds Spring: Put together one of the most dominant seasons in program history, finishing with 1,930 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns – both school records. Also caught seven passes for 82 yards and shared Player of the Year honors in the Central Ozark Conference Small Division.

RB-Kyle Hunn, Branson: Was the most consistent and effective offensive weapon for the Pirates, finishing with 950 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, averaging 5.7 yards per carry.

RB-Cam Pead, Branson: One of the most versatile players in the area, making plays at fullback, running back, tight end and wide receiver. Finished with 325 rushing yards and three TDs, plus caught 11 passes for 136 yards and a TD.

WR-Anthony Stanford, Forsyth: Had only one game of less than 70 receiving yards. Finished with 55 receptions for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns. Had a season-high 12 receptions against Lighthouse Christian. On defense, he had 5½ sacks, nine tackles for loss and three fumble recoveries.

WR-Karsen Knudsen, Branson: Was the most effective and dangerous weapon in the Pirates’ passing game, finishing with 32 receptions for 432 yards and six touchdowns. Also passed for 72 yards and rushed for 62 yards. 

TE-Logen Plumb, Reeds Spring: Finished with 17 receptions for 294 yards and three TDs. He had four catches of 20-plus yards, and two of 40-plus yards.

OL-Blake Smith, Branson: A second team all-district pick who was a key cog in the Pirates’ offensive line, from the center position.

OL-Zach Reding, Forsyth: Was a force on an injury-riddled Panthers’ team, and helped lead a group of younger players as the Panthers transitioned into a pass-first team midway through the season.
