Body Found Near Branson Dam Identified

BRANSON, Mo – The Taney County Coroner has identified the body that was found this morning at the Branson Table Rock Dam.

Someone discovered the body on the Branson side of the Dam and called police around 8:00 am Monday, June 4, 2018. The Taney County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the deceased as 42-year old Craig Wayne Willhite of Taney County. Willhite had injuries consistent with a fall and was found in a grassy area, at the base of a steep hill next to the Branson Dam.

On May 29 the Taney County Sheriff received a missing person report in regard to Willhite. He was last seen on foot in the general area in which his body was located.

Branson police are awaiting the results of an autopsy, however, at this time his death is not being investigated as suspicious.
