Branson woman found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and assault

BRANSON MO NEWS: BRANSON, Mo. — Daisy Marks was found guilty of the felonies of involuntary manslaughter in the first degree and assault in the second degree. Evidence presented that Marks recklessly caused a fatal crash in March of 2016 while driving approximately 35 miles per hour over the speed limit.
As a result, a 3-year-old was killed and her grandmother suffered permanent and serious injuries.
Marks could face up to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, or one year in the county jail, or a fine of up to $5,000, or a combination of fine and imprisonment.
