Churches plan concerts, dinners, retreats and more

Concert: Chuck Crain of Branson, Missouri, will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Southside Christian Church, 1919 S. 10th St. in Council Bluffs. This concert is free and open to the public.Turkey dinner: Lefler United Methodist Church, 1501 Madison St., will host a turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 4 to 12. Takeouts available. Nonperishable items will be accepted for the Methodist Food Pantry. For more information, call 402-733-7653.Celebration of music and readings: St. Michael Lutheran Church, 13232 Blondo St., will present “A Little Night Music” at 4 p.m. Sunday. Community breakfast: Trinity United Methodist Church, 8009 Q St. in Ralston, will hold a community breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday. The price is $6 for adults and $3 for children age 10 and younger. The menu will feature mini quiche, stuffed french toast, home fries, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, fruit and pastries.
