Collector Car Auction Results – 5,230 Buyers, Sellers, and Consignors at Branson Auction

Branson, MO – Once again for the semi-annual Branson Auction, 5,230 buyers, sellers, and spectators gathered at the Branson Convention Center on October 16 and 17, 2015, for the 37th Annual Fall Branson Collector Car Auction. Not only does this event repeatedly attract a large number of classic car collectors and enthusiasts, but it is also known as one of the top 10 preferred forums for collectors nationwide. 231 classic automobiles were showcased at the auction with 61% of those sold.

The highest sale of the two-day auction was a unique 1950 Jaguar MK V selling at $86,400. Other featured cars included a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible for $63,700, a 1965 Mustang Fastback at $55,800, and a 1986 Ferrari 412 selling at $51,800.

Participants were welcomed on the first day of auction by City of Branson Mayor Karen Best, who was chauffeured to the auction platform in a convertible 1957 Chevy Bel Air showpiece to share her support for the semi-annual event, encouraging all to explore and enjoy the many attractions, food establishments and other amenities while visiting Branson. Mayor Best stated “I welcome those of you who have joined together in the excitement of the muscle cars, hot rods, classic cars and trucks, and sharing the stories these vehicles spark and fueling new memories.” Following Mayor Best’s welcoming statement, Branson’s Pierce Arrow vocal group took the stage to perform a heart-moving acapella arrangement of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” On Saturday, Grammy-Award winning entertainer Billy Dean rode a $70,000 custom Orange County Chopper – a Paul Senior build – up the ramp to the stage to share his sentiments for the American flag stating “This is what it’s all about folks…we are America, the home of the brave,” prior to performing his version of The National Anthem.

“We strive to bring more to the table with every auction,” says Jim Cox, owner of Branson Auction. “Our local talent is a special addition to the experience our buyers and sellers come to enjoy every year. And the VIP reception and charity auction that kicks off the event the evening prior to auction is the least I can do to express my continued gratitude for our collector audience. This is also a great way for all of us to contribute to a common cause in that 100% of the funds raised during the memorabilia auction at the reception goes to support autism awareness, research, and treatment.”
