Cox support store opens
BRANSON MO NEWS: Cox Medical Center Branson has expanded its services to home support with the opening of its Missouri 248 location.
CoxHealth Home Support in Branson held its grand opening at 1447 State Highway 248, Suite B, near Kmart and Country Mart.
Branch Manager Amanda McFarland said the retail space provides CPAP therapy, hospital beds, oxygen, some power mobility and more.
“I think it’s important for people to know that we’re local,” McFarland said. “Just like the hospital in Branson, we have a local feel in here. We want people to know they can walk in anytime Monday through Friday, 8 to 4:30, come see us.
“They’re always going to get that personal experience that they might not always get in bigger cities.”
When Cox first acquired Skaggs Hospital, McFarland said the home support staff tried to just have its offices in Springfield.
“The turnaround time wasn’t sufficient,” she shared. “Cox Medical Center Branson absolutely blew away everyone’s expectation of what they had for this community as to how much it was going to grow.
“This is an area if we have a hospital that is serving so many, we want an office.”
