Daniel O’Donnell awarded prestigious music award in US

BRANSON MO NEWS: Daniel O’Donnell and a host of Irish and Irish-Americans have been honoured at the iBAM! Awards in Chicago with the Donegal singer being honoured for his “lifelong contribution to Irish music and culture globally”.  The gala awards dinner, which takes place annually in Chicago, also honoured Jim Sheridan for Visual Arts, Kevin Dundon of Ireland for Culinary Arts, Philip Gray of Ireland for Visual Arts and Joan Freeman of Ireland as Person of the Year for her work with Pieta House.
They join previous winners including Liam Neeson who have been honoured by BAM!, a non-profit organisation designed to fulfil and fund the mission of the Irish American Heritage Centre in Chicago.
Phillip Gray, Daniel O’Donnell and Kevin DundonO’Donnell also performed at the intimate Irish Heritage Centre Theatre in Chicago at a gathering of Irish authors, artists and musicians from around the world.
Following his tour of the US, he taken up residency in Branson, Missouri until November 18. Dates across the UK will then take Daniel up until Christmas and end his 2017 world tour.
