Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Branson

BRANSON, Mo -At approximately 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, a motorcycle and SUV collided head-on near State Highway 165 and New Berry Road in Branson.The motorcyclist, Rickey Wayne Maass Jr, 27, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, required immediate life-saving care. Maass was transported to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the SUV, Wendy Knoll of Harrison, Arkansas, faced no apparent injuries on the scene.Initial investigation revealed that the motorcycle driven by Maass failed to negotiate a curve and crossed into oncoming traffic where it struck the SUV.Speed and alcohol appeared to be factors in this accident.
