Dolly’s family story to headline dinner show in Pigeon Forge

A Pigeon Forge, Tennessee theater that hosted a lumberjack attraction is being revamped to feature the life story of Dolly Parton’s family.Parton made the announcement Monday through the World Choice Investment group which operates dinner theaters that bare the name of the County Music hall of famer in Tennessee, Myrtle Beach and Branson, Missouri.The venue change comes on the heels of Parton’s successful TV movies that aired on NBC for the past two years- “Coat of Many Colors” and “Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love”- and will be the inspiration for the new shows that will focus on Parton’s parents and the time before she was born.”This new story is very special to me,” Parton said in a statement Monday. She plans to formally announce the new project during her annual visit for the opening of her Dollywood theme park later this month, the report said.
