FAIRMONT — Frank Iaquinto, 90, of Fairmont, passed peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2017, at home with family at his side.He was born in Clarksburg on December 29, 1926, and was the son of Samuel L. and Mary (Caresco) Iaquinto.Before entering the military, Frank attended East Fairmont High School and was employed at Owens-Illinois Glass Company. He always had a strong love for family and country.

In February 1944, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served in the South Pacific as a gunner on the USS West Virginia. He was very proud to be a WWII Veteran and a member of the “Greatest Generation.”After returning home, he continued his job at Owens-Illinois, where he remained employed until his retirement in 1982.Through his employment, Frank met Mabel Lucille Haller, and they married in 1948. She preceded him in death in December 1993.He was also preceded by his parents; three sisters, Angie Cicalo, Martha (Duplanty) Baker and Joann (Hamilton) Bishop; and four brothers, John, Pete, Sam and Joe Iaquinto.Frank leaves behind a special friend, Shirley Snider from Morgantown, West Virginia; a daughter, Sonja (Ron) Kisner of Gallipolis, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Beverly (Garry) Cathell of Grafton; and six grandchildren he adored, Kelley (Jim) …
