High School Basketball: Muldrow’s Chambers is ready to help lift the Lady Bulldogs to a State title
BRANSON MO NEWS: On many basketball teams incoming Muldrow High senior Madison Chambers would be the go-to player.The 5-foot-10 guard/forward can score, rebound, defend and pass the ball.
However Chambers is a team-first type of player and with a team as loaded in talent as the Lady Bulldogs will be this upcoming season she’s more than happy to contribute anyway she can to keep the success going.
“We have so many great people on our team,” Chambers said. “I think the leading scorer can change from game to game. I think we are so versatile people that can pass the ball around and it could be whoever from one game to the next.”
On the Muldrow girls basketball team she only adds to what will be one of the top girls teams in the state this upcoming season.
The Lady Bulldogs lost only two players from a team that made it to the Class 4A State Tournament semifinals.
Muldrow will return four starters and from a team that won 26 games last season.
“Having that little taste of the State Tournament last year really told us what we are capable of,” Chambers said. “We know that each and every one of us wants it as bad as the other does. I think that’s a very special thing to have. Not all teams have the comradery we do.”
The comradery is kept between the team and the team only.
When asked about it Chambers said that’s something the team keeps to themselves.
Chambers, who averaged 7.3 points, three rebounds and 1.4 steals per game last season felt her game really started coming together around mid-season.
