Illusionist bringing bewilderment back to Mac

Critically acclaimed touring illusionist Reza has baffled audiences from Orlando to Los Angeles, but his next performance is Saturday at the McPherson Opera House.Reza first dabbled in magic at the age of 7. By his teens, he had moved beyond practicing in his South Dakota home to performing for resorts and large corporations, leading up to a six-week run in Branson, Missouri, with 18 shows a day.
His stage show mixes humor and charm with the entertainer’s “uncanny ability in the art of misdirection,” according to a news release.Reza previously appeared in McPherson and at the Fox Theatre in Hutchinson in 2013 and for years has been linked with the Ellinwood-based nonprofit Star of Hope.His performance in McPherson will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 to $35, although students can get in for $10.To make a purchase, call (620) 241-1952, go to mcphersonoperahouse.org or visit the box office at 219 S.
