Kmart will close stores in Springfield, Branson, Rolla

BRANSON NEWS: SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Four Kmart stores in Missouri will close by the end of March, according to Sears Holdings, the company that owns the department store chain.
The stores that will close are at 1477 Missouri 248, Branson; 2304 Missouri Blvd, Jefferson City; 1003 S. Bishop Ave. Rolla; and 3101 S. Glenstone Ave., just south of Battlefield Road, Springfield. The company didn’t announce any closings in in Arkansas.
Meanwhile, Macy’s says it is eliminating more than 10,000 jobs and plans to move forward with 68 store closures after a disappointing holiday shopping season. None of those stores are in Missouri.
Macy’s also lowered its full-year earnings forecast. …
