Man accused of severely injuring woman during assault
BRANSON MO NEWS: A man who was on parole is back in prison after being accused of assaulting a Kirbyville woman so badly, she had to be hospitalized for at least two weeks.Johnny Dell Bryan II, 42, is facing four felony charges: Two counts of first-degree domestic assault, one count of second-degree domestic assault and one county of third-degree domestic assault.First-degree domestic assault is a class A felony, which in Missouri, is punishable by 10 years to life in prison.
According to a court affidavit from the Taney County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was at her home, which has a Kirbyville address, talking to Bryan on the phone. She told police that while she was talking to him on the phone, he snuck into her house and surprised her.The victim said she was initially happy to see Bryan, and the two of them went into her garage to smoke. According to the report, while they were smoking, Bryan grabbed the woman’s phone and accused her of having multiple Facebook accounts. The victim said she became defensive at the accusations, but that she also had “a smirk” on her face.She told police, according to the report, that Bryan yelled “Do you think this is funny?” and slapped her in the face several times. She said the slaps quickly turned into punches in the upper torso and chest area. She said she was knocked to the floor, and then Bryan “stomped” on the left side of her torso several times and then followed up with several kicks to the same area.The assault ended with Bryan picking up the victim by the neck.
