BRANSON MO NEWS: Visitation services for Marilyn K. Boyce, 75, of Branson, will be held June 23, 2018, 1 p.m., at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, in Branson. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Dennis Webb will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson. She died June 20, 2018.

Marilyn was born July 7, 1942, in Vienna, Mo., daughter of Lloyd Austin and Venice Virginia Clayton Terry. She was baptized and attended the Terry Baptist Church, in Vienna. She attended grade school in Vienna. She graduated from Rolla High School, in Rolla, in 1959 with honors and received an academic scholarship to Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg where she attended for two years. She was a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority and later attended the Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan., where she received her BS degree with an English major and Cum Laude Honors. She taught school at Gibault for Boys, in Terre Haute, Ind.; Fredericktown High School, in Fredericktown, Mo. and Ft. Osage Jr. High School, in Independence. She married Gerald Earl Boyce, Dec. 27, 1960, in Kansas City. She had also worked for Gaddy Drug Store, in Rolla, Kansas City Life Insurance Co., in Kansas City, Commercial Mechanism, in North Kansas City, Lynch Jewelers, in Wichita, Kan. and Parman, Tanner, Sole & Jackson Accounting firm, in Arkansas City, Kan.She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings David Hazelwood and Danita Hazelwood.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Tom and Tracy Boyce, of Branson and Bob and Mickey Boyce, of Nixa; brothers, Lanny Terry (Kazuko) of Rolla, Michael Terry (Eleanor) and Mitchell Terry (Sheila), all of Vienna and four grandchildren.Memorials may be made to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, 102 Washboard Hollow Rd., Reeds Spring, Mo. 65737.
