Murder charge filed in fatal crash

BRANSON NEWS: A cement truck driver involved in a fatal crash Nov. 30 in Taney County has now been charged with murder.

Michael Glidewell, 56, of Branson has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree involuntary manslaughter, and DWI aggravated offender, according to online court records. He was arraigned Friday in Taney County Associate Circuit Court and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 23. A bond reduction hearing is scheduled for the same day, according to court records. Glidewell is currently being held in Taney County Jail on no bond, according to the jail’s online inmate roster.
