New announcements, changes coming to the Branson Landing
BRANSON MO NEWS: Changes are on the way for the Branson Landing . It’s landing new stores, restaurants, and entertainment hot spots.
Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen will be located on the Belk side of the Landing, next to the parking lot addition completed this summer, extending the Landing to the north.
“[It’ll be] 16,000-square-feet of a new Paula Deen Family Restaurant,” HCW Development CEO Rick Huffman said.
A Jimmy Buffet inspired-restaurant will also soon set up shop where Texas Land and Cattle left a hole.
“This’ll be the first Land Shark in Missouri, the first Paula Deen in Missouri,” Huffman said.
Huffman says bringing in something different is the goal, not only with restaurants, but also retail.
“H&M, it is the first one in Southwest Missouri. So, it’s 21,000 square foot. It’s a great store. They’re doing great business. We are as excited as heck to have them. Those are the type of tenants that we want, new and unique,” Huffman said.
In this age of internet shopping, entertainment is also what inspires people to stroll this street as Andy B’s will soon bring bowling to Branson Landing Boulevard.
“You have to today. Everything is about entertainment,” Huffman said.
Some spaces, like what was once Ernie Biggs, are empty, but there aren’t many.
“We are back to almost full again,” Huffman said.
Visitors say the variety keeps them coming.
“We like to go to places that we might not have, like McDonald’s, we say, well there’s a McDonald’s where we live so lets not eat at McDonald’s,” Jodi Theisen said.
“He likes the candy shop, she likes Build-A-Bear, and I just like the shopping,” Hollie Dean said.
From shopping to sights, there’s a little something for everyone.
“We love Branson,” Theisen said.
