New Mercy clinic on schedule

BRANSON MO NEWS: After officially breaking ground in May of 2016, progress at the construction site of a new Mercy Clinic is on schedule.

“Construction is progressing along,” Eric Fawcett, project manager for Mercy Hospital, said. “We’re on schedule, so now it’s site preparation for the actual building site. We’ll start concrete in June and it’ll work its way through August then you’ll see steel being erected on site.”

According to Fawcett, the current estimated completion date is set for late summer or early fall of 2018. 

“That would put us around the September time frame,” Fawcett said. “That’s what we’re shooting for.”

Located at the site of the former Branson Inn at Missouri 248 near U.S. 65, the 50,000-square-foot clinic has a projected cost of $22 million. When completed, the new clinic will replace the current Mercy clinic, which is also located on 248. Fawcett said there are no plans for the current location at this time.

For those individuals who will have visited both clinics, Fawcett said the new location will feature several improvements.

“The biggest thing is just the size,” he said. “Right now a lot of the services are outreach, are only there certain days out …
