Overturned dump truck results in minor injuries

BRANSON MO NEWS: A Kirbyville man suffered minor injuries after his dump truck overturned Tuesday.According to a crash report from Missouri State Highway Patrol, Peter Swenson-Barksdale, 44, was headed east on Missouri 76 around 10 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck then ran off the road, overturning upon re-entry.Central Taney County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to the scene, assisting with traffic control and debris cleanup.

“Upon arrival units found a dump truck not a garbage truck rolled onto its side with the contents of its load spilled across Hwy K and into the ditch,” a post on the district’s Facebook page reads. “The driver was out of the vehicle already with minor injuries, cuts and scrapes.”Swenson-Barksdale received minor injuries, according to the patrol report, and was transported to Cox Medical Center Branson. 

The report states Swenson-Barksdale was wearing a seat belt.The Taney County Sheriff’s Office and Taney County EMS also responded to the scene.
