Poulos, John T. Age 91 Of Council Bluffs. Passed away on May 2nd, 2017, at the Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, IA. John was born on November 11th, 1925, in Council Bluffs to the late Theodore and Olga (Unopoulos) Poulos. John graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1943 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. John was united in marriage to Elaine Karavas on August 16th, 1953, and the couple was blessed with three sons. He was the owner of the Happy Hour Lounge and was a member of St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church, Order of Ahepa, the American Legion Post #2 and The Vietnam Veterans Association. John is survived by his wife, Elaine; sons: Ted Poulos (Diane) of Bothell, WA; Mark Poulos of Altoona, IA; Greg Poulos of Council Bluffs; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Billie and Don Haynes of W. Branson, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Toni Mecklin. VISITATION WITH THE FAMILY will be from 5-7pm with a prayer service at 7pm on Saturday, May 6th, 2017, at Culter-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel in Council Bluffs. Fr. Peter …
