BRANSON MO NEWS: The fall garden: Prepare for winter, plan for springSeptember signals another change in the seasons with cool evenings and the start of beautiful fall colors. And as we enjoy the changing seasons in the yard and garden it’s a good time to start working on fall garden chores in preparation for winter (and for next spring).Come for tips and bring your questions. Should I deadhead perennials? Can I transplant some plants? When should I plant bulbs for spring flowers? What do I do to protect plants for the winter? Rice County Master Gardener, Lisa Reuvers will be our instructor. Pre-register for this free program, which is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21 at 1:30 p.m.

Drop-off recyclingAre you looking for a place to recycle some of your excess household items and clothing? The Faribault Senior Center is hosting another drop-off recycling event and will take a variety of items that you want to recycle. Just drive up and your car will be unloaded for you.This event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 4-6 p.m. and will be held at a new location in order to accommodate the large number of donors in a safe setting. This fall’s drop off will be located at 601 First Ave. NE, which is the former location of the old public works building and is easily found on the north side of Faribault American Legion.Please review the list of items that are accepted, as the list has change slightly. For a list of those items that will and will not be accepted please check out the Senior Center’s website at www.faribaultseniorcenter.org or stop at the Senior Center to pick up a list.All donated items from this event will be picked up by NP Communities, a non-profit organization …
