BRANSON MO NEWS: Funeral service for R. Brian Weatherhead, 89, of Forsyth, was held Feb. 6, 2018, 11 a.m., at Whelchel Grace Funeral Home in Forsyth. Private interment will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.He died Feb. 1, 2018.

Brian was born March 21, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., son of Alford and Anne Fisher Weatherhead. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII, discharged with the rank of Corporal. He was employed by Motorola as a Maintenance Supervisor. He married Barbara A. Harding, Dec. 5, 1953, in Prescott, Ariz. They moved to Forsyth in Nov. of 2004. He was a member of the Grace Community Assembly in Branson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joseph and Bruce Weatherford; and sister, Joan Williams.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; sons, Paul Ellis and wife Jennifer, of Surprise, Ariz., and Christopher Weatherhead and wife R.J., of Grants Pass, Ore.; daughter, Gerry Jones and husband Michael, of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.Memorials may be made to Hope House, c/o Grace Community Church, 3101 Gretna Rd., Branson, MO 65616.
