BRANSON MO NEWS: Reatha Marie CarlsonDIXON – Reatha Marie Carlson, formerly Reatha Magnafici, 83, of Dixon, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.
She was born Feb. 22, 1935, in Harmon, the daughter of Fred and Eathel (Lincoln) Dale. She married Joseph Magnafici on Oct. 10, 1959, at Shaw Station, Amboy. He preceded her in death Jan. 26, 1997. She married John R. Carlson on March 6, 1998, in Branson, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading and animals.
She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Kathleen (Mark Pinto) Magnafici of Tel Aviv, Israel; two stepsons, John (Vicki) Carlson Jr. and Jerry (Peggy) Carlson both of Dixon; one sister, Louise Walton of Spartanburg, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews; one special nephew, Larry Tucker; three step-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
Reatha also was preceded in death by her parents; one stepdaughter, Lori Carlson; and two sisters, Wilma Hawkins and Lois Reed.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, with a funeral service at 11, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with the Rev. Darrell Ropp, chaplain at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon, officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.
