Semi-Truck Crash Causes Oil Spill and Closes Portions of HWY 160

BRANSON MO NEWS: Published 10/14 2016 03:36PM Updated 10/14 2016 03:36PM NEAR BRANSON, Mo. — A semi-truck driver with Empire Energy overturned his truck on Friday which caused an oil spill.According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the wreck happened around 11:30 in the morning on Friday where the semi-truck took the “horse shoe” curve too fast causing the wreck and lost a significant amount of fuel.Western Taney County Fire, DNR and Environmental Works helped to clean up the spill. The work to get the truck back to standing could take several more hours. Portions of Highway 160 remain closed for the time being.The driver was taken to a local hospital and being treated with minor to moderate injuries. Copyright 2016 Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc.
