He now lives and works in San Francisco, but he said last year he made a trip back to the Ozarks to shoot video interviews with family members who brought the 1880s-style park to life in 1960.”Within the family,” the filmmaking Herschend told the News-Leader, “we’ve been talking for some time” — 15 years — “about doing a video, a documentation of the early days, to get an oral history.”Despite the movie’s title, Herschend said its focus includes Pete and Jack’s spouses, JoDee and Sherry, respectively, along with others connected to Silver Dollar City whose memories stretch back six decades.The filmmaker was quick to add, “I should say that Jack and Pete and Sherry and JoDee were out of the picture on this.”Why?”The last thing they’d want to do is be  …
