SUV lands through roof in Branson, no injuries reported

BRANSON MO NEWS: A non-injury crash Saturday morning resulted in a car landing through the roof of a residence in Branson.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Jason Pace, around 9:45 a.m. Saturday, a driver of a sports utility vehicle lost control while pulling onto a private driveway of an apartment complex on Songbird Lane.

In trying to gain control, the driver overcorrected, which caused her to go “through a fence and off a bluff, over a narrow crevice between the bluff and the building, onto the roof of a multi-family residence situated on Knowledge Lane which runs parallel to Songbird,” according to Pace.

Pace said the driver was an adult female and there were three children in the vehicle at the time; however, no injuries were reported.

“Troopers responded to a report of a car that landed on the roof of a multi-story condo east of Branson and just off of Hwy. 76. It appears a vehicle on Songbird Lane left the roadway, traveled through a fence and off a bluff over a narrow crevice between the bluff and the building, onto the roof of a multi-family residence situated on Knowledge …
