Vegetation is really upbeat this spring. Trimming shrubs is the next procedure we will have to do around here.

I would love to find and pick watercress as I used to do from our spring in the pasture. It was so fresh and tasty in salads. 

If meeting people is on your mind, have a yard sale. Some come to buy, and many come to look and visit and sometimes make an offer. If I could part with many of my items, there would be a much larger and profitable sale!

Betty Whillock Lemons, who grew up in the Lilly Ridge community, came by Saturday morning for a short visit while we had our yard sale. Her brother John married my husband’s aunt Shrelda. They were custodians of the Ozark County Courthouse and grounds for several years, keeping it in good condition. A lot of older people will remember them well.

It was nice having a Saturday morning phone visit with cousin Wade Crawford in Ramona, California. He and wife Mickey are close neighbors of the artist friend who painted a realistic picture of my barn before it burned. I have reason to believe that the barn was …
