Three charged in connection with police shooting; Incident began with encounter at <b>Branson</b> park

BRANSON MISSOURI NEWS: A Friday morning shootout that ended with one man dead, and a deputy injured, began with a scuffle between police and four suspects in a Branson park more than 24 hours earlier.

Three people have been arrested for incidents directly or indirectly related to an incident on Boo Boo Boulevard, south of Hollister, in which Thomas Patrick Mone III, was shot and killed after he allegedly shot at two deputies and a highway patrolman who were at the home to check on a suspicious vehicle. Two of the three people named at the earlier park incident were also at the home where the shooting occurred.

According to Branson police, officers were on a routine check at Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area when they spotted a Jeep that belonged to a woman with several outstanding warrants. The woman, Angela Mary Boyts, 46, was at the park with three other people, including Ariel Quin Deatley, 23, who also had an outstanding warrant for stealing, and Michael David Greer, 52. A statement from the Branson Police Department indicated there was a fourth person at the park, but the Branson Tri-Lakes News has not been able to confirm whether that was Mone.
