Tony Orlando lops off fingertip in garage accident

Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree singer Tony Orlando has sliced off the tip of his middle finger in a bizarre accident.The singer, who fronted 1970s band Dawn, was closing his garage door at his home in Branson, Missouri when the digit drama occurred recently.His son John tells TMZ the singer calmly found the tip of the finger on the floor, picked it up, and drove himself to a nearby hospital to get it stitched back on.The accident came just a few weeks after Orlando hosted comedian Jerry Lewis’ memorial at the South Point hotel and casino in Las Vegas.Orlando co-hosted America’s Labor Day muscular dystrophy telethons with Lewis.
