Woman Dies in Branson House Fire

BRANSON NEWS: SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Firefighters in Branson discovered one person dead inside a home as they battled a house fire Monday night.Fire crews were called to the 800 block of Shady Drive just after 8:00 p.m., according to Branson dispatchers.  A neighgor reported the fire to 9-1-1, according to a news release issued early Tuesday morning. The body of a woman was found in the living room of the house.  Fire Chief Ted Martin says firefighters got the woman outside and immediately started CPR, but she died at the scene.  No other injuries were reported.  The Southern Stone County Fire Protection District was called in to assist and posted on it’s Facebook page:An investigation into the death and what caused the blaze is underway.   The Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office is assisting.The woman’s name and age has not been released.
