Missouri basketball staff visit point guard Courtney Ramey

BRANSON MO NEWS: Missouri’s entire staff will travel to St. Louis on Tuesday to visit with Webster Groves (St. Louis) point guard Courtney Ramey, a number of outlets reported Monday.Ramey, whom Missouri offered in late February, averaged 21.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game this past year. Ramey is ranked the No. 40 player in the class of 2018 on Rivals.com.Texas coaches completed an in-home visit with Ramey on Monday, while Louisville and coach Chris Mack are planning to visit Wednesday.

Mack was hired by Louisville back in late March. A week ago he said Louisville would not be recruiting Ramey.The Louisville Courier-Journal reported Monday that Mack had spoken to Ramey a number of times in the past week. It also added the school had re-entered the picture with the 2018 point guard.Watson earns USA Today honor

Along with Ramey, who earned player of the year honors in the ALL-USA Missouri Boys Basketball Team selected by USA Today, Missouri signee Torrence Watson was selected to the first team.Watson averaged 31 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for the Whitfield Warriors (St. Louis) and finished his prep career with 2,755 points.He was also Missouri’s Gatorade Player of the Year.
