BRANSON NEWS:

Alex Dominish was 8 when he heard his first songs by The Beatles. In his childhood innocence, he aspired to be part of the iconic British band. Over the years, the Mentor native’s interest in music grew, and his dreams remained ambitious.

He participated in marching and jazz bands while at Mentor High School, from which he graduated in 2012. He also played in garage bands, including Raygus during high school and Alexander and the Greats during his college years. He played in the Tri-C High School Rock Off in Cleveland.

After graduating from Case Western Reserve University with a bachelor of arts degree in popular music, he went on to work in the Red Garter Saloon and on the midway at Cedar Point. There he was “discovered” by Casey Robertson of Herschend Family Entertainment from Branson, Missouri, the legendary Middle American entertainment capital.

Today, Dominish spends 30 hours per week playing his Reverend guitar and singing in shows aboard the Showboat Branson Belle in Table Rock Lake in Branson. He sometimes performs up to three two-hour shows per day. Music includes an Elvis Presley medley, 1970s and 1980s classic rock and a variety of movie themes.

“I started playing drums when I was 9 and picked up guitar at 10,” he says. “I took lessons at Arrowhead Music (in Mentor), and I just kept taking lessons through college.
