Branson, MO September 26, 17 – The Southern Missouri Arts Connection is excited to offer Let’s Pretend with Donna Rastorfer as a part of their Fall class schedule. The class will run from 10-11AM Saturday Mornings on October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4, & 18th at The Community Center located at 201 Compton Drive, Branson, MO 65616. Let’s Pretend is an introduction to basic theatre skills for preschool aged children. Students will work on physical and vocal control and expression, cooperation, concentration, problem solving and characterization through movement, music and theatre games. The final class of this fun-filled, six-week course will be open to you and your immediate family to stay and observe. This class is open to children ages 4 & 5 that are potty trained. The cost for this 6 week class is $60 per student.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised in Brandon, Florida, Donna Rastorfer now calls Branson, MO home. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Florida State University and was in the Acting Intern Program at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA. Most recently, Donna returned to the Tent Theatre stage in Springfield, MO as the Duchess Estonia Dulworth in the 2017 production of “Nice Work if You Can Get It”. Donna made her debut at Tent Theatre in 2016 as Mayor Matilda in “All Shook Up” and Mrs Higgins in “My Fair Lady”. Here in Branson Donna has performed in the gospel musical comedy “Smoke on the Mountain” and in Silver Dollar City’s productions of, “Hotrods and Hairdos”, “Headin’ West” and “A Dickens Christmas Carol”. She was also in the quartet of “Steppin Out” on The Showboat Branson Belle. Prior to moving to Branson, Donna performed at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, on cruise ships and in theatres across the country. Donna’s career also includes work in film, commercials and voiceovers. She is currently a paraprofessional at Cedar Ridge Elementary and has taught drama for several local homeschool co-ops and churches. She is excited to once again combine her love of theatre and working with children to teach “Let’s Pretend”.
