BRANSON, Mo. – The public is invited to the City of Branson’s Arbor Day Celebration this (Friday) morning at Alexander Park.Mayor Karen Best will begin the ceremonies at 10 a.m., followed by Missouri Department of Conservation foresters demonstrating mulching techniques on several trees in the park, including two newly-planted memorial trees that were funded through the Branson Tree Board memorial program.The event will be staged in the southwest corner of Alexander Park, located at 901 Hawthorne Street.In addition to the Arbor Day Celebration, the city’s parks department is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning for the newly-opened inclusive playground at the Branson RecPlex.This event begins at 11 a.m. and everyone is invited to attend. (Sam Clanton, Hometowndailynews.com)
