BRANSON MO NEWS: BRANSON, Mo. – A spot in the U.S. Senate is Roy Blunt’s to lose and the other candidates vying for the job tried to paint him as part of the problem in Congress Friday in a forum in Branson.Current Secretary of State Jason Kander, a Democrat, joined candidates from three other parties at aMissouri Press Association forum in attacking Blunt’s record in Washington.Blunt responded by listing off several compromises he has reached with Democratic senators, including a compromise with Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., on increasing funding for the National Institutes of Health.“Senator Murray and I got the first increase in healthcare research in 12 years,” Blunt said.Kander has gone on the offensive against Blunt on guns.In a much talked-about ad, the Army Veteran puts together an AR-15 blindfolded.
