The waterproofing of building walls is a complicated and complex process. Buildings are designed
and built without input from a waterproofing specialist and can be doomed to endure years of water
intrusion problems. Older buildings are often in need of constant upkeep to prevent water migration
to the interior. This could be due to inadequate flashing systems, poor drainage and weep systems or
materials that have deteriorated over time. This water intrusion will damage interior finishes, further
degrade the exterior substrate, adversely effect living or working conditions and these, in turn, will
diminish the value of the property.
Waterproofing techniques and materials differ substantially depending upon the type of construction
and the substrate that is to be waterproofed. There is a large variety of facade building components
on the market each having specific repair materials and products.
Since November of 1999, our field technicians have been trained in the waterproofing of building
