BRANSON MISSOURI NEWS: Centralia has worked its way through its first five games with relative ease. The Class 2 third-ranked Panthers are 5-0 and have given up just 19 points on the season.Fullback Klayton Marty has started off equally as impressive. The 2015 all-district fullback ran for 985 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior.Through five games, the senior is on pace to blow past last year’s touchdown total, with 11. Entering Week 4 he was second in the area in scoring, just one touchdown behind Battle quarterback Brevinn Tyler.On Friday, against South Shelby, Marty added three touchdowns to his total.A connection for the record books: North Callaway’s Wyatt Branson had one reception last week against South Callaway.That one catch was all he and quarterback Milo Henry needed to jump into the Missouri high school football record book.Branson hauled in a 99-yard touchdown pass from Henry. A connection of that distance has happened only seven other times in Missouri high school football history.According to Jason West of the Missouri State High School Activities Association, a 99-yard reception last happened in 2010, when Adam Hawkinson of Washington High School caught a pass from Luke Hasenjaeger.
