BRANSON MO NEWS: “He shoots … HE SCORES!”It’s been more than 28 years since Dan Kelly, the legendary radio voice of the St. Louis Blues, shouted that infamous call across the airwaves, but he’s still being honored for the mark he left on the world of broadcasting.On Saturday evening, Kelly was inducted into the Missouri Broadcasters Hall of Fame during an awards banquet at the Hilton Convention Center in Branson.”It’s always special that even though my father has been gone close to 30 years, the recognition and accolades and Hall of Fame awards continue to come his way,” said John Kelly, the Blues’ play-by-play broadcaster for FOX Sports Midwest. “It just shows how much he was and still is loved as a broadcaster and the indelible mark he made in St. Louis and Missouri and even nationally.”Known for his booming voice that could be heard over a raucous crowd cheering on its team, Dan Kelly began calling games for the Blues during their second season back in 1968. He remained the play-by-play voice of the club for more than two decades until he passed away in 1989 after a battle with cancer.Dan also served as the lead broadcaster for national NHL games …
