Friday, East Central beat New England 7-4 in the Cal Ripken World Series in Branson, MO on Friday. The young Coast baseball team is competing among 16 teams from across the U.S. and 8 international teams.The teams are competing in the 12-year old World Series.In the first game of the day, East Central topped Canada 11-1 and followed it up with a 7-4 win over New England. Since losing their first three games of the tournament, East Central has battled back to win three in a row. So far, East Central representing the southwest region took down teams from Missouri, Canada, and New England.East Central faces the Dominican Republic Saturday at 10 a.m. The winner claims the Iron Bracket title.For more on the tournament and a link to follow Saturday’s game visit here. Copyright 2018 WLOX.
