East Central buzzes into Branson for World Series

BRANSON MO NEWS:
JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) –
The East Central Hornets 12-year-old baseball team is in Branson, Missouri hoping to do the improbable. The Hornets hope to win the 2018 Cal Ripken Major70 World Series.Game one of East Central’s dream trip to the World Series is Sunday. The Southwest region champs play Kentucky. The first pitch is at 5:30 p.m.East Central is in Group C with Kentucky, New York and Hawaii. The Hornets play New York Monday morning, and Hawaii Tuesday morning. The Hornets are the second Mississippi team to ever qualify for the Cal Ripken World Series.Todd Trochessett coaches East Central. “We just have really good confidence in the games we played, and we just had a great attitude. And we just kept each other up, and that’s probably the main reason why we’re here,”  he said.Sixteen teams from around the United States are in Branson for the World Series.  So are eight international squads.
