Fireman’s Landing at Silver Dollar City Exceeds Expectations!

We took the family on a trip to Silver Dollar City to check out the brand new Fireman’s Landing. This newest edition to Silver Dollar City features rides and attractions aimed towards family fun, especially families with smaller children. Most of the rides allow for solo riders over 36 inches tall, those under 36 inches can still be accompanied by someone 16 or older on most of the rides. There was only one attraction in the entire section that my three-year-old twins could not go on, Freefall, a ride that drops you straight down eight stories, requires its riders to be at least 48 inches tall.

The old foam ball area is beautifully redesigned into the Firefighters Fire Drill attraction. Cloth buckets are available at the entrance for children of all ages to collect the balls and carry them throughout the building. This area now has only one entrance/exit. It is much easier to keep an eye on my children with the new, open layout and the bright lighting which also has an elevator! My children love the new “stairs” and shooting the balls at daddy through the numerous cannons spread out around the railings on the three levels of the building. This are also features a new play zone, an obstacle course and a soft playing area for toddlers.

There is even a spot for the kids to cool off on those hot days! The Firehouse Splash Yard has firehoses rising up overhead, spraying down water. Those little toes are protected by a soft, spongy ground where water randomly quirts up, causing adorable child laughter.

For the adults whose phone batteries are in danger of dying, there are cleverly disguised charging stations throughout Fireman’s Landing (there is one in front of the Dizzy Dogs!). My kids loved ringing all of the bells attached to the the sign of every attraction.

The bathrooms have received an update and are much easier to find than before. They are just to the left of Up the Ladder, along the waterfront.

I love how the theme continues throughout the entirety of Fireman’s Landing. For example, while standing in line for Fire Spotter (the balloons), Fire Wagon Frenzy, and every other ride, LOOK UP! The roof is comprised of red ladders!

Our family had a fabulous time at Silver Dollar City’s new Fireman’s Landing. Check it out for yourself and while you are there, don’t forget to take a picture with Lucky, the Rescue Dog!
