BRANSON MO NEWS: Last week, Branson Tri-Lakes News Entertainment Writer Joshua Clark interviewed actor, director, producer, entertainer and rock star front man Dennis Quaid in advance of his Nov. 4 date at the Mansion Theatre, along with his band, the Sharks.

During the interview, Quaid spoke about his favorite film roles, how he got to Branson, and a whole lot more. Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

Joshua Clark: “In regards to Dennis Quaid and the Sharks, I’ve heard you say ‘Come see a movie star and stay for the music.’ I think it’s really cool you know a lot of the draw has to be who you are, and it’s awesome you don’t shy away from that.”

Dennis Quaid: “It’s kind of snobby to do that, I think. You know what I mean? You can take yourself too seriously, you know? What is, is what is, and I’m thankful for that fact because otherwise, I wouldn’t be playing here at the Mansion Theatre.

“How about that?” (flashing the Quaid grin)

J.C.: “If everything goes well in November, can we expect to see Dennis Quaid and the Sharks back in Branson again?”

D.Q.: “We’d love to start a relationship with the Mansion Theatre, actually. I think it would be fantastic to come back here again and again. I really do believe the show we have and the music that we play is made for the middle of the country because it just comes out of this area, and we want to bring it back.”
