BRANSON MO NEWS: Graveside services for Forest Edward Reavis, 78, will be held Aug. 16, 2018, 3 p.m., at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, in Springfield, under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, in Branson.He died Aug. 5, 2018.

Ed was born on May 27, 1940, in Lexington, Mo., son of Forest H. Reavis and Ruby M. Neal Reavis. He graduated from Macks Creek High School in 1958. He served active duty in the U.S. Navy from May 1958 to Oct. 1966. After military services, Ed worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation from Oct. 1966 to 1982 and then took an early retirement. He had a successful restaurant career after his retirement, working and owning restaurants from 1980 to 2009. He was partners in Palermo’s Restaurants, Inc. which had restaurants in Branson, Lebanon and Rolla. He had worked at Old Apple Mill Restaurant and Shoney’s in Branson and owned and operated Jo-Ed’s Restaurant in Rockaway Beach. He worked at Bonanza and also Grand Country Buffet until his second retirement in July 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sheila Jensen and son, Russell Reavis.

Survivors include his daughters, Tasha Williams, of Branson and Tammy Reavis Palvier, of Plano, Texas.
