BRANSON MISSOURI NEWS: Over the course of the summer soon ending, oodles of hours went into getting ready for a garage sale. There comes a time when, by choice or force, downsizing needs to happen. I wanted ours to be by choice.Preparing for a sale can be grueling. Will it rain? Are the signs in the best locations? Will people come? Are things priced right? Will it have been worth all the time and effort?For a multitude of reasons our house has long been a stuff-magnet. We aren’t hoarders, so it wasn’t all our stuff but stuff stored for and then abandoned by others, stuff we’ve been given and stuff that I had an emotional attachment to and had to convince myself to part with.My husband and I had a good laugh as we set out some loose-in-the-joints furniture we’d bought used when we were newlyweds, thinking that one day we’d get something better. “One day” has finally arrived, right along with our own loose joints.We had fine crystal, given to us recently by my aunt and uncle who, now in their 90s simply said, “Do something with it with our blessing!” We …
