BRANSON MO NEWS: Kenneth Elden Marquardt, 81, passed away at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb., on Saturday, Sept. 2.Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5, First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley.Memorial Service: 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 6, First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley.

Ken graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1954.Ken married the love of his life, Sandra (Heath), on Dec. 1, 1956. They were blessed with one daughter, Pam, and three sons, Mitch, Mark, and Scott.
Ken retired with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at Desoto Bend. He enjoyed his job as it allowed him to work outside and be around wildlife. He also enjoyed gardening, yard work, and woodworking, but he mostly cherished the time he spent with his family and friendsKen was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sandy; daughter, Pam (Dean) McIntosh of Missouri Valley; sons, Mitch Marquardt of Idaho Springs, Colo., Mark (Laura) Marquardt of Missouri Valley, and Scott (Dawn) Marquardt of Hot Sulfur Springs, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and brother, Hank (Betty) Marquardt.Arrangements by Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley.
