BRANSON MO NEWS: Big changes are on the horizon in Missouri government. From the governor on down, most of the statewide offices will see new faces following Tuesday’s election.Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon is prohibited by term limits from seeking a third term, as is Treasurer Clint Zweifel. Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder is leaving, too, after an unsuccessful bid for the Republican nomination for governor. Democratic Attorney General Chris Koster is giving up his own job to seek Nixon’s, and Democratic Secretary of State Jason Kander is running for the U.S. Senate.The election marks the first time since 1992 that there are no incumbent state executive officeholders on the Missouri ballot.Here are some of the highlights of the races and issues Missouri voters will face on Tuesday.—GOVERNORRepublican political newcomer Eric Greitens and Koster have been embroiled in an expensive and often bitter general election campaign.Greitens, a former Navy SEAL officer, has focused his campaign largely on his military record and a pledge to fight corruption in the state’s Capitol.
