BRANSON MO NEWS: The last time J’Mon Moore donned a Missouri uniform, there were NFL scouts watching from the stands. That was in the Texas Bowl back in December where he caught five passes for 65 yards in the final college football game of his career.On Saturday, Moore will once again put his skills on display for those same NFL talent evaluators, this time in a generic, numbered T-shirt at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.The weekend will serve as the first steps on the road toward April’s NFL Draft for the former Missouri standout receiver, and provides an early chance for Moore to impress professional teams and improve his draft stock. In addition to watching him workout and perform drills, NFL teams will have the opportunity to meet with Moore one-on-one in order to gain more insight on the Houston product who led Missouri in receiving last season.
Moore enters the combine having already caught the attention of many NFL teams and draft analysts. His 1,082 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in his senior season established him as one of the top wideouts in the Southeastern Conference and helped enter his name into the national conversation.During his time with the Tigers, particularly in his final two seasons, Moore showcased his versatility and his ability as a playmaker in the red zone. With the help of Drew Lock’s arm and the offensive stylings of former offensive coordinator Josh Heupel, Moore displayed a capability to make plays from the slot, over the middle and as a deep threat, something that has impressed pro scouts and analysts alike.Projected as a mid-round pick, Moore’s biggest strengths heading into the combine are his size and speed.
