National archery tournament coming to Branson this weekend

BRANSON NEWS: Thousands of archers will be drawing bows en masse this weekend in Branson.Missouri National Archery in Schools Program state tournament runs March 18-20 at the Branson Convention Center. The event is hosted by Missouri Department of Conservation and Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation. More than 3,000 student archers are slated to compete after shooting qualifying scores in tournaments this past year, according to a news release from MDC.”Supporters are invited to attend the state tournament for a fee and must follow COVID-19 health and safety protocols set for all event attendees,” MDC says. “Masks will be required in the Branson Convention Center and masks will be provided if needed.”Temperature checks will be taken as attendees enter the convention center. Social distancing will be required.Aside from the tournament itself, there will be a variety of socially distanced activities such as skills competition and games, animal encounters and educational programs.
