BRANSON MO NEWS: A new Branson Mercy clinic is beginning to take shape, and officials say it is on schedule to open in fall of 2018.
Sonya Kullmann, media relations for Mercy, said site work and foundational work on the project have been completed, with only structural work remaining.
According to Kullmann, structural work on the project began in June and is scheduled to be completed by August with a grand opening in the following months.
Located at the site of the former Branson Inn at Missouri 248 near U.S. 65, the 50,000-square-foot clinic has a projected cost of $22 million. When completed, the new clinic will replace the current Mercy clinic, which is also on 248. Eric Fawcett, former project manager with Mercy, said there are no plans for the current facility at this time.

You’ll have a larger gallery, and the waiting area is larger and linear as to where it connects all the different service lines.
Another aspect of the clinic, involves community input. Specifically, Fawcett said one of those recommendations from the community was for an autism therapy clinic.
“We’re working with Arc of the Ozarks on the design,” Fawcett said in June. “We reached out to their counselors on what they see the needs are. Features that are going to be in this design and implemented in this building are based on real-world events that Arc of the Ozarks utilizes now. …
